One of the best meals I’ve had in all of Maine was at Dahlia’s. Crafted with locally sourced seafood and produce to create an exquisite seasonal menu, every bite was bliss. Just as important, the interior is absolutely stunning. Rich, layered, and elegant. Awash with color, texture, and depth, Dahlia’s is one of the prettiest restaurants on Mount Desert Island, making it the perfect stop for a special occasion, or just because you deserve to dine beautifully.

We loved eating here so much that we stopped by for dinner twice and breakfast, too. It really is that great, and the reviews agree! I’m still dreaming of the cauliflower! It was truly a standout amidst the other excellent dishes.

They didn’t skimp on the lobster, avocado, or accoutrements, clearly!
Maine Lobster Roll
Everything but this we had made gluten-free. My husband said it was great, and he’s something of a lobster roll aficionado.
Roasted Cauliflower & Wild Mushroom Terrine
Words cannot begin to describe how delectable this was. Cauliflower is often the go-to for caterers and high-end restaurants, and it’s almost always disappointingly bland. This, on the other hand, was exceptional in every way, and ranks quite high on my list of best dishes I’ve ever had. This cauliflower and wild mushroom terrine is worth going out of one’s way to enjoy.

I love a good fruit and yogurt bowl, and this was lovely.
The Verdict
I would pay excellent money to know the recipe for the cauliflower terrine– it is phenomenal! Everything else was excellent, too. The service was great, the atmosphere reminded me of places we dined in Paris, and there were plenty of options for those with food allergies and dietary restrictions like me. I hope to return soon!
