The sumptuous herb garden is maintained by the herb society of America – southeast Michigan unit, and the sunken garden layout is changed every year! More than 11,000 begonias were planted in 2015 & each year the sunken garden has a different layout and different types of flowers planted! Have you ever been to Cranbrook House & Gardens? Back when they still allowed weddings on the grounds, my sister-in-law married my brother-in-law here, and their wedding was spectacular! This is definitely one of the most beautiful gardens in all of Michigan, and we make it a point to visit at least once each summer.

I’m always blown away by how much care and love is poured into the gardens at Cranbrook. If you haven’t been, I recommend stopping by. They have a number of gardens you’re welcome to walk through, you can visit the Cranbrook House, and explore the grounds. They even host occasional parties and events that typically free to enjoy!
