Whether I’m traveling or relaxing at home, I love to be comfortable. It’s important that what I wear feels good against my skin too. I used to endure itchy wool sweaters and scratchy, unlined brocade fabrics because they looked good, but a few years ago, I vowed to myself to never to wear anything uncomfortaThat’sThat’shat’s why when I spotted this gorgeous, cozy cotton silk pocket henley and cotton silk ribbed leggings from Lunya, one of my favorite loungewear brands, I immediately fell in love with it. It is unbelievably soft and silky. Made of organic cotton and sustainably sourced silk, I know the fabric is good for my skin, body, and peace of mind.
Available in eight colors, this pocket henley is made to be oversized. The description says, “it’s enough to cover your bum, so pants are totally optional,” and I think that’s really fantastic, haha. These ribbed leggings coordinate perfectly with it and are available in seven colors, though they frequently add new limited edition colors. I recommend sizing down if you want a more fitted look, particularly with the leggings, because they do seem to run a bit bigger than the size chart suggests. These are incredibly comfortable, easy to wash and wear, and perfect for relaxing on the couch with a good book or movie or a long-haul flight.
I’ll definitely bring my new favorites from Lunya on my next adventure, and these pieces are so timeless and versatile that I know I’ll wear them season after season. While I do think I would have I’lld down in. both of these if poI’llle simply because I prefer a bit snugger fit, they are perfectly suited to relaxing in. Every time I’ve slipped these on, I’ve immediately felt cozier and more at ease, which goes to show how powerfully wearing certain garments can affect one’s mood.

This time of year is always so relaxing for me. I love to get comfortable, write or read a book, and enjoy my evenings after work simply being. So often, we are pushed to go, go, go! and I think that’s very unhealthy for our mental health. Instead, I try to intentionally slow down at the end of the day, bring my cortisol levels down, and relax. Whether I stretch and do some light yoga (without my jewelry on, of course, haha), drink herbal tea, or even take a warm bath, it’s particularly important to me to stay comfortable and take care of myself while the world outside sleeps. Once spring rolls around, I don’t have to worry about doing this so much, but it’s still always very important to me to take care of myself first and foremost.
So, I encourage you to do the same. Do something just for yourself today, even if you only have ten minutes. Find somewhere quiet, light a candle, take a few deep breaths, and spend some time with yourself reading, writing, journaling, or reflecting on your day. It really does help!
