The Classic White Shirtdress: A Wardrobe Staple

There are some things that never go out of style, and a classic shirt dress is certainly one of them! The beauty of investing in a classic is that no matter what year it is, it will always be “in”, and I find so much beauty in the idea of investing in a wardrobe, rather than having to always buy new things to keep up with current styles. Mud Pie sent me this beautiful white shirtdress to style, and I am in LOVE!

Shop the Post Below!

This Mud Pie shirtdress is such a great piece to dress up or down, and it would look adorable with a navy blazer and heels, or as a stand alone dress paired with flip flops or a pair of boat shoes. The included belt helps cinch in the waist so the dress doesn’t feel baggy, which adds a really nice touch of femininity to a crisp, summer white outfit. I threw on my go to watch, this c/o Daniel Wellington watch (use code AnnieWearsIt for 15% off your total purchase), and this c/o pearl bracelet, for a classic, nautical vibe. To match my bracelet, I added a pair of pearl studs.

If you’re interested in seeing how I do my hair, I created a hair tutorial! You can click here to watch it! As far as sizing, I am wearing a small. The size chart seemed like it ran a little small, and I’m glad I didn’t pick my normal XS from Mud Pie. It ended up being pretty loose, so if you’d like a more fitted look, you could probably go with your regular size, or even size down. I prefer looser fits, especially in the summer, which is why I sized up.

Thank you to Mud Pie for sponsoring this post, absolutely love this shirtdress, and I’ll be wearing it all summer long!
