The constellation I was born under, Gemini, is beautifully celebrated in this Alex & Ani bracelet, which is one of the more accurate depictions of the twin star sign I’ve seen in jewelry. I recently had my birthday, and I felt inspired by the beautiful starry sky that appeared on the anniversary of my birth to add a few more heavenly accessories to my outfits, and I wanted to reflect some of the colors and stars I saw in this outfit.
I’ve never been big on astrology, but I’ve always loved astronomy and learning about the breathtaking celestial bodies that hang above our heads. One of my favorite classes I took in college was through the Naval Academy on campus called Marine Navigation, which I took through my Water Law minor, wherein we learned how to navigate a boat (or ourselves) using the stars. I used to spend hours in the observatory and planetarium studying this skill, and star gazing has become even more enjoyable now that I know some of the constellations by name.
I paired my $8 blue and white striped dress with a few handmade Lapis Lazuli bracelets, and a raw cut Kendra Scott Lapis Lazuli Rayne necklace (similar here, here and here). Lapis Lazuli is said to bring wearers creativity and wisdom, both of which I could always use more of!
You can shop this look (and this $8 dress!) below!
I absolutely love this vegan leather backpack, because it not only has a vintage feel to it, but it also is the perfect size to carry my camera equipment, wallet, phone, and whatever I else I need throughout the day. If you order a Daniel Wellington watch like mine, you can get free shipping and 15% off your total purchase with code “ANNIEWEARSIT”!
I’m going stargazing again tonight, so let’s hope I’ll find some clear skies and more glorious constellations.
Thank you for reading, and happy birthday to all of my fellow Gemini!
