Whether you’re preparing for your first stay at the Grand Hotel, or your 25th stay, below are a few things to keep in mind as you pack and prepare for your Mackinac Island adventure! Hopefully this guide will make planning your next visit that much easier. I’ll also be creating a sample packing list of things […]
Zak Ik is a luxury boutique inside Azulik Resort, underneath Kin Toh Treetop Restaurant in Tulum, Mexico that sells everything from shoes, handbags, and totes to dresses, tops, swim coverups and more. Before entering, we were asked to remove our shoes in order to “connect with the Earth”, and it was only the beginning of […]
The ruins of Tulum were one of the highlights of our visit to the area. Built more than 1,000 years ago, these stunning relics of the past are a great way to experience the history of the people who originally inhabited this area. For only $10 USD/person, visitors can walk through this ancient Mayan site
The Real Coconut in Tulum is as delicious as it is luxurious. Situated on the pristine, white beach of Tulum, we enjoyed an incredible meal surrounded by palm trees, a fresh ocean breeze, and wonderful company. Read all about why we loved it so much here.
The Yucatán Peninsula is famous for Cenotes, which are sunken swimming holes, and for good reason; they have dozens of them! When we were trying to decide which one of the many, many cenotes to visit, we had a difficult time finding information about what to pack, what to expect, and what there was to do at each cenote, which is why I want to share things you should know before visiting.
Kin Toh is a stunning, luxury restaurant that serves modern Mayan food, built into the jungle canopy of Tulum, Mexico. It looks like a tree house straight out of a fairy tale, and it offers one of the best views of the jungle in all of Quintana Roo. Kin Toh, a division of Azulik resort, invited us to dine with them during our time in Tulum, and it was one of the most spectacular meals I’ve enjoyed.
Thank you Casa de la Marquesa for our stay with you during our time in Querétaro! This stunning pink-orange Latin-American style colonial era hotel was the perfect base for exploring Querétaro. The hotel staff picked us up from the Querétaro airport and brought us to the hotel, which was about a 45 minute drive. Thankfully I […]
Although we had to cut our trip short because I became extremely sick and needed to come home, we had such an incredible time in Mexico this past month! We were able to stay in 8 different cities and pass through a number of others, and it was an adventure unlike any other! I’d been […]
I’m so excited to share that my husband and I will be in Mexico and South America for the next month! This means I may not respond to comments, emails, or post much on my social media during this time, because the places we are headed will not have regular internet access.
