Thank you to the Radisson Blu Aqua Chicago & CityPASS for sponsoring our long weekend adventure in Chicago! As always, all opinions are my own. My husband Robin and I had such an awesome weekend in Chicago! I was traveling with a friend for Spring Awakening music festival, and Robin was in town for work […]
We had a wonderful weekend in Carmel, Indiana this past weekend, and it quickly became one of my favorite midwest cities! I absolutely loved everything about this town, from the adorable B&B we stayed in and the incredible food we sampled, to the plethora of activities the city offers and endless kindness of the residents. If you’ve never been to this Indianapolis suburb, you should add it to your list!
Holland’s Tulip Time Festival grows more than 5 Million tulips each year, including hundreds of different varieties, and dozens of colors of this breathtaking, Dutch flower. Here are some of my favorite photos of the most beautiful varieties, and colors of tulips from this year’s Tulip Time Festival.
Tulip Time is a lovely festival that takes place each spring in Holland, which celebrates Dutch heritage, Dutch dancing, Dutch fashion, and of course iconic Dutch tulips. Millions of tulip bulbs are planted every fall by volunteers and city staff, and they burst into colorful bloom late April to early May, just in time for, well, Tulip Time!
Zak Ik is a luxury boutique inside Azulik Resort, underneath Kin Toh Treetop Restaurant in Tulum, Mexico that sells everything from shoes, handbags, and totes to dresses, tops, swim coverups and more. Before entering, we were asked to remove our shoes in order to “connect with the Earth”, and it was only the beginning of […]
The ruins of Tulum were one of the highlights of our visit to the area. Built more than 1,000 years ago, these stunning relics of the past are a great way to experience the history of the people who originally inhabited this area. For only $10 USD/person, visitors can walk through this ancient Mayan site
The Real Coconut in Tulum is as delicious as it is luxurious. Situated on the pristine, white beach of Tulum, we enjoyed an incredible meal surrounded by palm trees, a fresh ocean breeze, and wonderful company. Read all about why we loved it so much here.
Kin Toh is a stunning, luxury restaurant that serves modern Mayan food, built into the jungle canopy of Tulum, Mexico. It looks like a tree house straight out of a fairy tale, and it offers one of the best views of the jungle in all of Quintana Roo. Kin Toh, a division of Azulik resort, invited us to dine with them during our time in Tulum, and it was one of the most spectacular meals I’ve enjoyed.
Although we had to cut our trip short because I became extremely sick and needed to come home, we had such an incredible time in Mexico this past month! We were able to stay in 8 different cities and pass through a number of others, and it was an adventure unlike any other! I’d been […]
