Chandler’s Petoskey is one of Petoskey’s best places to eat. Located right downtown in Petoskey’s Gaslight District, Chandler’s Restaurant & Wine Cellar is al fresco dining at its finest. Its iconic moss covered shingles, outdoor string lights, and ever-burning torch means it stands out despite being tucked away in a recessed nook between Symon’s General…
I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July weekend, and if you’re a neighbor in Canada, I hope you had a blast celebrating Canada Day! I’ve been wearing R,W, & Blue alllll week long to celebrate our nation’s freedom from those pesky tea drinkers (totally joking, love you England!). This outfit was one…
While going back through my travels around the Petoskey Area, where I grew up, I realized I hadn’t written about one of my favorite places to eat in the area: 1911 Restaurant at the Terrace Inn in neighboring Bay View! This cute little spot is in the Bay View neighborhood, which is technically still Petoskey,…
Our move happened very quickly and didn’t give us much time to plan, and as a result, we really dropped the ball on our sleeping and eating schedules. Needless to say, not sleeping or eating well has taken a toll on us, so now that we are settled into our new home, I want to get back into healthier habits, and improve on the good habits we already had. Here are the specific things I plan to get back into doing in the coming months.

As cities begin to reopen, and travel slowly but surely begins to resume, many of you have been asking about the best ways to get back into travel, without going too far away from home, so that you still feel safe. With this in mind, during this month’s Q&A I’ll be answering all of your most commonly asked questions about exploring your own city, and how to plan a staycation. I think the timing of this post is particularly fitting, as we just moved to Connecticut and will be exploring our immediate area & the East Coast for the foreseeable future.
I mentioned in this post, that we are moving to Connecticut this week! I’ve felt lots of different things about this move, but 90% of it is pure excitement to live somewhere new and different from Michigan (although I’ve heard Connecticut is a lot like Northern Michigan where I grew up, but we shall see). I’m also nervous, the good kind of nervous, about moving, because we’ve never been to Connecticut. We won’t have seen the house, the neighborhood, or anything about where we will be living until we roll up in our moving truck (thanks COVID!), yet despite the smidge of uncertainty and hesitation I’m feeling, I’m still so excited for our new adventure! Here’s what I’m looking forward to the most about moving to the East Coast.

Looking back on a few of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer looks from over the years, I love seeing the assortment of color combinations and patterns that I’ve worn on some of my biggest life milestones, and on some of my favorite local trips.
