Sushi by M is a fantastic omakase spot in New York City. If you haven’t tried omakase yet – you’ll definitely want to give it a go! Omakase is a type of meal where sushi chefs select the courses for you based on what’s seasonally available. Omakase essentially means, “I’ll leave it up to you”” and unlike the omakase at Kissaki where the menu is based on their talented sushi chef’s whims, Sushi by M has set menus at the start of the day. They also offer upgrades for an upcharge, like upgrading the hand roll finish of the meal to the toro scallion hand roll like I did. Everything here was phenomenal and so, so fresh. I can’t wait to go back someday soon!

New York City: The Luxury Travel Guide
My husband and I took our first trip to New York City together for New York Fashion Week this past year, and we’ve been back twice since. In between fashion shows and after parties we went sight seeing, checked out a few museums, tried some delicious food at Michelin Star restaurants, and we did a little shopping. We could have spent an entire month in NYC and not done everything we wanted to. There’s such a vast variety of cultures, ideas, and styles that are represented in New York that make it one of the most unique places on Earth, and we tried to do a little bit of everything the city had to offer. While we were overwhelmed at all of our choices at first, I’ve created this guide to help you make the most of your time in NYC, so you can skip the feeling overwhelmed part and get straight to having a great time in the city that never sleeps.
New York Fashion Week Day 2 Outfit
I’ve never been one for crop tops, but when I saw this beautiful lace number with broad shoulders and a high collar, it was love at first sight. For me, New York Fashion Week was all about pushing boundaries on my personal style, so I decided to try something different and pair the feminine, lacy top with an edgier vegan leather skirt and my new favorite accessory, this round, metal purse.

What I’m Most Looking Forward to About Our Move to New England
I mentioned in this post, that we are moving to Connecticut this week! I’ve felt lots of different things about this move, but 90% of it is pure excitement to live somewhere new and different from Michigan (although I’ve heard Connecticut is a lot like Northern Michigan where I grew up, but we shall see). I’m also nervous, the good kind of nervous, about moving, because we’ve never been to Connecticut. We won’t have seen the house, the neighborhood, or anything about where we will be living until we roll up in our moving truck (thanks COVID!), yet despite the smidge of uncertainty and hesitation I’m feeling, I’m still so excited for our new adventure! Here’s what I’m looking forward to the most about moving to the East Coast.
We’re Moving to New England!
I’m so excited to finally announce that we are moving to New England! We’ll be near the ocean, not far from New York City, and I think our new home is going to be the perfect fit for us. Due to travel restrictions, we’ve actually never seen the place we are moving to, so once we get there and finish our quarantine, I can’t wait to get out and start exploring a new region of the country!
My Hopes for The New Year 2021
Happy New Year!! Last year was extremely difficult for everyone, regardless of where we are in life, we were all impacted in a major way, so I’m not going to dwell on it, because you already know what kind of year it was. This year, I’m hopeful that things will get better for everyone, that a change in leadership will mean a new start towards a better future, and that we can all be healthier, happier, and safer than we were before. Here are my hopes and goals for 2021.
